Sterling Silver Rat Earrings
Pet rats have been selectively bred for at least one hundred years. The lab and pet rats today are not like their rat ancestors that were (and are) pretty nasty customers. They're just naturally aggressive.
Rats, in fact, love to play with their owners and can even learn tricks. The one thing about rats is that they do need affection and they need attention. They aren't the kind of pet to just leave on its own. Come to think of it, I doubt if there is any pet (in the mammal group at least) that doesn't need attention.
Some pet rat owners let their small charges run free on occasion. I think that would require quite a bit of rat proofing your home. I can't even imagine how much you'd have to do to make that a safe and enjoyable experience for you and your rat. Besides the obvious closing of doors and windows, you'd have to make sure that electrical wires were out of the way as well as books, papers, and all your valuables. Seems like it would be easier just to have a room set aside for your rat to roam around in that was filled with rat toys! I don't think I've ever seen anyone ever wear a pair of sterling silver rat earrings. It's high time we changed that!
