Sterling Silver Greyhound Charm
Greyhounds are in the sight hound group of dogs. The racers have spent their careers chasing an electric hare and their instincts still lean in that direction. It is important to keep a newly retired racer on a lead when you visit the park where there are lots of other dogs! They do make marvelous pets, and I've met a lot of these retirees.
They are sleek dogs, but aren't particularly light weight. It must be all that muscle! Muscle is quite a bit heavier than fat, as any woman who begins to get into shape by working out with free weights discovers, usually to her chagrin. But it's not a bad thing- you just have to get used to the concept! (I have personal experience in this area, although it has been a few too months since I've hit the weight bench.)
Greyhounds are sometimes grey, but more often than not they are a brindle or fawn color, sometimes white or cream. A greyhound design I made quite a while ago was actually grey, and it seemed to be pretty popular, so there you go!
I love designing these dogs because their ethereal beauty is such a joy to represent in many different mediums. This sterling silver greyhound charm is one that I think anyone who loves the breed might enjoy, and she may start wearing a charm bracelet just for the joy of wearing her special pet!
