Sterling Silver Donkey Earrings
Occasionally I make a pair of farm animal jewelry earrings that I just am in love with. Well, doesn't it make sense? If I have total control over what I'm making, I certainly try to create the things that I would love the most!
Donkeys are very sensitive to dangerous situations. In fact some of that famous stubbornness could be traced to the fact that he senses danger up ahead. If that were the case, you surely wouldn't want to try and force him to forge ahead!
The burro also is very careful about crossing an icy surface, and won't lift a hoof until he knows the step will be perfectly safe. It's said you can ride a donkey with total security across a large sheet of ice. That is, if you allow him to do it his way.
One of the attributes the donkey is most famous for is the "hee haw' sound of his bray. It is unmistakable and the only other animal I know of that makes a similar sound is a type of penguin. Imagine that! Some people seem annoyed by the sound, but to me it is so much a part of the donkey that I think of it as rather endearing.
There is an old saying that if the first thing heard in the morning is the burro's bray, then you should make a wish that will come true.'
Here's a pair of donkey earrings you can wear with pride! Y
