Enamel Blue Butterfly Earrings
Artists have been creating butterfly jewelry for an awfully long time. I have a book about bakelite (an early form of plastic) that has photographs of some wonderful butterfly pins created from this material in the 1930s. And butterflies can be spotted in the artwork of some Renaissance masters without looking too hard. I'd even bet that primitive artists etched likenesses of these insects on cave walls long before paint brushes were invented.
It may be a bit hard to see on the photograph, but each blue butterfly has an additional layer of sparkly blue detailing on every wing section. It starts close to the body of the insect and then fans out towards the tips of each wing section. The pattern is such a lovely and lacey one. I can't say enough about this design, I really am pleased with it!
There's nothing like a pretty, feminine pair of butterfly earrings to dress up a summer outfit. This pair of blue ones would look marvelous with an all white, all black, blue or ladybug print outfit, don't you agree? Just slip them on, let them drift sweetly below your earlobes and enjoy the admiration that most surely will come your way!
