I love picking garden-fresh romaine for our lunch salad. I toss in a small handful of basil, some fresh mustard greens, maybe even a cherry tomato or two. Today I made a delicious version, complete with a buttery avocado half. Mmmm!

We were visiting some relatives in New York recently and enjoying my sister in law’s birdfeeder visitors. My favorites were the colorful red topped woodpeckers, stuffing themselves on the suet Larry provided on the birdfeeder’s side.
A few days ago Ed and I were zooming across Florida on our way to Alabama. “I’ve never seen a bear here, even with all these ‘Bear Crossing’ signs,” I complained.

Ibis scurry across our neighbor’s lawn like a small herd of dinosaurs
