Carson The House Rabbit
Carson is a plucky little bunny who made an appearance one day at the OVMA exhibit hall at the Columbus House Rabbit Society booth. Carson is neutered and litter-box trained. Danielle Patterson, who is associated with the group, told me he is very fond of Timothy hay and fresh veggies. (Timothy hay is a type of grass very good for rabbit health)
I also learned about some interesting bunny behavior known in rabbit circles as “bunny binkies”. Danielle described it as “a quick jump up in the air accompanied by a full body twist.” She told me it is a rabbit’s jump for joy. I’d love to see that! Any rabbit lovers out there have a photo series depicting a bunny binkie? (Send them to me and I will put them up with this article.)
