Description: It’s said that a puppy of about 8 weeks of age is the best place to start your Yorkie ownership. You certainly couldn’t get any cuter than that! The smallest ones are usually considered to be the most beautiful and do tend to be the most costly of the litter, but they are also the most prone to having some physical difficulties. A good examination from a veterinarian early on should be the order of the day. The puppy’s tail is normally docked to half it’s length, and the ears of the Yorkie straighten out when the dog is about 3 or so months old. Like all dogs, the Yorkie should be fed a balanced diet, and shouldn’t have an overabundance of meat. The dog needs a walk 4 times a day! They are sensitive to inclement weather, so a little doggie raincoat should be supplied if the weather is bad. This little guy or girl also needs the coat brushed at least once a day. It is actually a good idea to put the hair up with a bow or some type of device to keep it out of the dog’s eyes which might otherwise get irritated. But these sterling silver yorkie post earrings are quite a bit easier to take care of than the real thing, and just may need a little polishing every once in a while!  The same is true of my sterling pet paw post earrings and all of my sterling dog post earrings.
