Description: I have a guinea pig in a book that has the markings of a Siamese cat. They are even born white, just like the original feline version! They change to the black Himalayan cavy colors in about 6 months. Another marvel of genetics.
Guinea pigs in Peru are known as cuis. They eat grass for the most part. I think they are very beautiful, sort of a silvery grey color.
Guinea pigs are vegetarians and enjoy fruits and vegetables as well as rabbit pellets. Apparently you can overdo it on the green veggies, so it’s a good idea to pay attention to the reaction of your guinea pig to the food you give him. Also keep in mind that guinea pigs are little, and it’s easy to overfeed them. If you remove uneaten food on a daily basis then the cage will remain clean.
Guinea pigs should have their own cage to live in when they aren’t being handled or wandering around the house. Of course, they should always be supervised. They will probably try to follow you around because they become very attached to their human caretakers.
Pin this little silver guinea pig pin and wear it with pride! After all, you share your home with one of the cutest animals ever. If you happen to live with more than one variety of cute critter, you may just need to look into all of my other silver small pet pin designs. Another really cute design is my silver mouse pin that any mouse aficionado will fancy.
