A sterling silver reptile pin can’t help but be a winner. It has it all. Beauty, artistic shape, detail, even a unique personality!
Somewhere I read about a country where people wear colorful (live) reptiles as a body adornment. Now where did I see that? My memory, if it is to be believed, tells me that a string is attached to the animals somewhere and the reptile placidly sits on the person’s shoulder or chest or wherever. It sounds like something that may have caught my eye in a copy of National Geographic sometime in the past. I wonder if this is really reptile jewelry or just a chance to enjoy your pets company. In any event I don’t think it will catch on very well in the US. For anyone more comfortable with the idea of a small furry mammal perched on your shoulder, I have created a series of small pet pins in silver just for you!
I don’t think that would work with the lizards speedily scurrying through my back yard! First of all they are nigh impossible to catch. And what about lizards relieving themselves on your clothing? No, I think it best to wear sterling silver or gold reptile pins just to be on the safe side (or one of my other silver pins).
There aren’t a lot of sterling silver reptile pins in the Magic Zoo at the moment, but any of the sterling silver pin pendants can be used as pins only. I do think I will be adding a snake pin to the collection before long, just in case that happens to be your fancy. |
