Description: I understand these dogs need a kind but firm hand when training them because they can be a little stubborn. I think that’s sort of cute- gives them a more interesting personality. I would imagine it would take a patient and loving person to live with this little guy. There have been a few other names the Scottie has been known by in the past, some of them quite fanciful. He has at times been called the Wire-haired Terrier, the Hard coated Scotch Terrier, and my favorite, the Die –Hard. He and the Westie are two of my favorite silver dog pins. Feel free to take a look at my silver Westie pin as well. One problem with this little dog is that sometimes it gets muscle cramps. Poor guy! Just the other night I was awakened in the night by a cramp in my foot and I had to jump out of bed and walk around on it until it was gone. I wonder if the Scottie knows about that trick. And how did they figure out that he had a muscle cramp to begin with? I believe this pin would be handsome worn with the matching earrings. But, even on its own, this sterling silver Scottie pin would be nice for a Scottie lover gift. |
