Sterling silver wildlife pin pendants- now here’s an eclectic group of designs! Instead of dividing the group into their actual categories (insectivore, marsupial, hoofed mammal, etc.) they just get lumped as wildlife. Oh the vagaries of the shopping cart! I feel I have at least the dilettante’s understanding of North American wildlife. Now I would love to go to Australia, Africa (especially including the island of Madagascar) and South America just to observe the animal life. My wildlife jewelry selection would blossom if I ever went to even one of those areas. I’m the most fascinated with Australia and New Zealand fauna. The whole idea of convergent evolution is really interesting to me. There is a marsupial mole in Australia that looks almost identical to our moles here because the life style of both is so similar. Lifestyle? Is that the right word? It sounds like I’m talking about living in condos near the beach as opposed to inner city loft apartments. What I really mean is both of them tunnel around through the dirt and so their external appearance is similar. And what about all those lemurs and chameleons in Madagascar? Fascinating stuff. Also, if you are on the lookout for a sterling silver bird pin pendant it might be here. Also, you can visit the silver pin pendant page. Of course there are a few more “wildlives” to work on before I have them all down. |
