I have designed a nice little handful of sterling silver pet pin pendants. There are more I created as small pet pins or pendants only- it takes a special size and shape to be able to be a pin pendant combination! The only small pet I ever had was a hamster, Hannibal by name, who lived in a cage in the basement when I was a child. His accommodations notwithstanding, he had a fairly cheerful life. We all loved him. In the springtime we took him into the yard to eat clover, which he stuffed into his little pouches for snacking on later. I’m not sure how we ended up with a hamster in the basement- Hannibal was the only one we had. He survived for five years after which we had a funeral for him and buried him under the four-o-clock flowers in the side yard. I’ve heard it said that guinea pigs make marvelous pets for children as they are supposed to be fairly easy to take care of and are quite gentle. Their voices are a wonder to experience as well. It is somewhat difficult to create a piece which is a pin and a pendant. I do have some wild animal pin pendants in sterling silver and some sterling silver pin pendant gifts And it is possible more will arrive on the scene later on! |
