I had to make some sterling silver reptile pin pendants, if only so I myself could wear them! I love reptiles, and especially find it an additional perk to live in an environment where lizards are as common,or more common, than songbirds. I'm also working on pocket pet silver pin pendants and expanding my silver pin pendant gifts. I keep thinking I should study up on the different kinds of lizards I see here. I think a lot of them fall into the general category of “anoles” or false chameleons. There is also a little bright eyed gecko species that we see squiggling up walls at night. Those guys sometimes come inside, which doesn’t especially alarm me. I just worry that they won’t be able to find their way back outside so I often chase them around with an empty yogurt container to catch them and deposit them outside the door. When I was a kid we lived not far from a wooded area and box turtles sometimes appeared on our lawn. Our parents let us keep them in a cardboard box for a day or two and then we had to release them. But I remember feeding them iceberg lettuce and watching them scrabbling helplessly against the sides of the boxes, looking for a way out. Are you a reptile lover? Then you’re my kind of people and I bet you’d enjoy wearing a sterling silver reptile pin pendant from the Magic Zoo! |
