Description: I have two different earrings you could wear with this pin pendant. One is a dangle type  western horse earring and the other one is a much smaller horse post earring. The history of the horse is a fascinating one. There are so many different breeds, many of them adapted to a particular environment. There are some that probably would never be able to comfortably be able to live in an extremely dry climate, and some that prefer that sort of thing. When people were finally able to domesticate the horse as an instrument of riding, the entire world would have opened up. Imagine going every where on foot, then suddenly there was the possibility of going great distances in not a lot of time. Whereas before people knew little outside their immediate village, now vistas were open that were barely comprehensible before. I would imagine it was as much an innovation to be able to ride a horse cross country as it was when the airplane first became an instrument of cross country and international flight. Maybe it was even more amazing than the airplane, because before the horse, the absolute only way you could go from one place to another was by putting one foot in front of the other.
