Description: Besides being loaded with personality, this guy has so much detail that he seems to have a life of his very own. I’ve made pugs in one form or another for over 15 years-but he is by far my favorite piece of pug jewelry. (Well, the pug head pin pendant in silver is pretty special, too.) I finally had the opportunity to design a pug with the little screw tail. That just seemed to be the finishing touch to me. I remember spending quite a while to get it just right. One of my books states that the pug tail can sometimes uncurl when the pug is at rest. How cute! There has been some debate about the subject of pugs snoring. It’s true that a short muzzle can sometimes contribute to a dog snoring in his sleep. However, if the pug face is up to a good breed standard, this shouldn’t be much of a problem. It may still happen occasionally, however. There are a couple other circumstances when a pug may “snore”- when he is overheated and if the air is too humid. I don’t suppose the outdoors in Florida would be a great environment for a pug on most accounts. Because pugs are so heat sensitive, it’s good to take some precautions in hot weather.
