Description: I was reading about this group of mammals, loosely defined as primates and discovered that they are actually difficult to define. There are a few characteristics that primates have in common, though.
Most of them have nails as opposed to claws. They have big brain size. Their visual system is similar. They are able to easily manipulate things in their hands due to certain specialties in those digits. There are others, but taken as a group they pretty much define what is thought of as a primate. But there are certainly a lot of differences in how they look physically.
Most of the primates are tropical, but there are exceptions. Besides the snow monkey in Japan, there’s a monkey in China, called the snub nosed monkey, that lives in the mountains in the southwestern part of China. I’m not that particular about what makes a primate a primate or not, but I do think they are endlessly interesting animals, and many people would agree with me. One of these days I’ll make a lemur design, which is a primate I’m especially fond of.
This silver monkey pendant is one that many of my customers favor. He’s not quite as cheeky as the other design but has a friendly look about him. He comes in a larger version - the bigger silver monkey pendant - with a different facial expression. Try him or any of the others over at 925 wild animal pendants.
