Description: I love making small pet jewelry in general, but the guinea pig is one of my favorites. Can pets get any cuter than this little cavy? The cavy comes in so many different colors and even sizes, which I didn’t realize till I started to read up on it. There’s the little one that is pet sized and a long legged version that is the size of a small dog. (I don’t think this kind is ever kept as a pet. If a guinea pig is too big a pet, try my silver pet mouse pendant or others from the silver small pet pendants home page ). I think my favorite domestic cavy is the tortie and white. Now how in the world did they ever breed a normally brown little cavy into this magnificently colored pet? I’ll probably never know, but I will just continue to enjoy the fact that they did! A guinea pig is the one pet I can imagine that sometime, even with my outrageously busy schedule, I might actually have time for. So there it sits, perhaps there is a little Magic Zoo guinea pig for me sometime in the future… Meanwhile I, and hopefully many of my Magic Zoo customers, will enjoy wearing this sterling silver guinea pig pendant, a representative of a marvelous little pet. |
