Description: If you are looking for a horse necklace, this pendant combines well with one of my sterling silver chains. (Of course, you may already have a chain just waiting for this little western horse.) It seems the Quarter Horse has a long and honorable history in this country. The Quarter Horse has some of the Chickasaw Horse blood flowing in his veins. The Chickasaw Horse was developed by the Native Americans of the South eastern United States from Spanish horses that they captured. They were later bred with Thoroughbred stock and the breed was further enhanced. But the Native Americans knew a good horse when they saw one. The Quarter Horses are now found in Australia, Canada and England, as beloved for their wonderful characteristics there as they are in the United States. But the West is where the Quarter Horse is most appreciated. They are bred as marvelous cattle horses. They can turn and start faster than any horse on the planet. He is truly a working horse. I believe this sterling silver Quarter Horse pendant is possibly the best of all my horse designs, and I recommend it as a gift for any horse lover.
