Description: Cats are real homebodies. They adapt to many different lifestyles from that of a farmyard cat to a pampered Persian in a Manhattan apartment. I think that’s why it’s been suggested that when moving to a new environment the cat should be kept in one room with the door shut for a while. We’ve always followed that rule. Our cat Molly lived in eight different homes from Florida to California during her 15 years with us, and she always eventually settled down and made the best of her new surroundings. So I have a bit of experience in uprooting a cat! She was an outdoor/indoor cat, so she not only had a new house to get used to but a whole new outdoor environment as well. But not once did she attempt to run away. We are not planning any more major moves, so any future Magic Zoo kitties wont have to deal with moving traumas!
