Description: African grey parrots are known for being extremely talented talkers. They can sometimes be a bit shy compared to Amazons, but do get quite attached to anyone they know well and spend a lot of time with. I think it’s true for most parrots that since they are naturally gregarious, they need company to be happy and content. Timneh grey parrots are a little smaller and they are also a darker shade of grey. These parrots live in Sierra Leone, Liberia, the Ivory Coast and Guinea. They still have red tail feathers, but it’s more of a maroon color than the bright red of his larger relative. The male timnehs are even darker grey than the females. Since I created this pendant in sterling silver, the design could probably pass as any of the Amazon parrot color types as well. If you need them, I have a sweet cockatoo pendant in silver and other birds over at sterling silver bird pendants. This African Grey pendant would make a nice little gift for any parrot (or specifically) African Grey lover. ( It would be a fun and classy silver pendant for a Jimmy Buffet fan, also known as a parrot head.) |
