There is endless inspiration in the world for creating sterling silver wildlife earrings. I could stay occupied with a small corner of one country and probably find enough animals to inspire my silver earring page designing for years. Perhaps someday I’ll have to divide my animal earrings into groups according to where on the planet they come from. Australia alone could provide ideas for the rest of my artistic life. Strangely enough, I don’t get requests for marsupials other than the koala and the Virginia opossum. I think it’d be fun to design a pair of kangaroo earrings, or a wombat pin. I have made sugar glider earrings before in the colorful clay, but that’s about it! I guess there wouldn’t be too many takers for a pair of Tasmanian devil earrings. Of course there are enough wild animals in North America to keep me busy for decades, working full time. I guess it’s just the grass being greener on the other side of the hill phenomena that has my interest in Australian animals going! Madagascar is another place with subjects for my type of animal jewelry, but that is another adventure altogether. I like to surprise people with my designs, meaning I like to create jewelry that you wouldn’t expect to see on someone’s ears. I would hope my sterling silver wildlife earrings fit that description. I have put the silver marine creature earrings in a separate spot, so visit those also if you choose. |
