Description: I like wearing a combination of these whimsical mouse earrings with a cat pendant. I’ve done it! I’m not sure if the time I wore the two designs together if anyone really noticed, but I felt very clever. Here’s a bit of interesting mouse trivia I have never seen anywhere else but in a particular source from the 1970s: Mice and other small rodents make use of ultrasonic sounds! We are able to hear many of their squeaks, but they make some that are so high pitched they are beyond the ability of the human ear to hear. If a mother mouse accidentally sits on one of her young it will warn her off using ultrasonic squeaking. There’s an odd story of a mouse that was present in a room where a violin was being played. The mouse started to move about in a frenzied fashion until it dropped dead from exertion. This was probably a result of the mouse being so sensitive to high pitched sounds. Mice are nothing if not adaptable. There are reports of them living on nothing but flour for long periods of time, with very little water. I guess you just gotta do what you gotta do! Mouse earrings in sparkling sterling silver might not be a typical jewelry design, but life needs a few surprises now and again.
