Horses have so many beautiful color variations I felt like mentioning it. I think one of my favorites is the Appaloosa. They are very dashing looking! Of course the color of the horse depends upon the color chromosomes of the parents. Speaking of the Appaloosa, it’s thought that the spotted coats come from the ancestry of the Spanish Horse. The bay horse seems to be a pretty common color, at least from my own observation. I also find it very attractive. I’m sure there are different tones of the bay, but I imagine the basic design of the brown coat and the black mane and tail is the same.
