Description: The Scottie reminds me of an old retired British general. Proud but relaxed in the knowledge of good and brave deeds done in the past. A little fanciful, perhaps, but that’s how they look to me.
The Scottish terrier is, in fact, a brave little dog that was bred to hunt badger, fox, rats and mice. Any dog that is able to go after such wily prey successfully has got to be fast and nimble as well as of hardy stock.
This breed can be a little reticent and even suspicious with strangers, but with its owners it lets its guard down and is a charming companion. Some think of it as being conceited, which to me is a really funny adjective to describe a dog! I think he just knows his own mind and is certain of his abilities. Those seem like qualities of the highest order that many of us would do well to emulate.
They are an ancient breed, and even before the Roman invasion they lived in the Scottish highlands. They’ve had a number of different names, but today are known by the Scottish terrier or the shortened version of it.
The sterling silver Scottie charm would be great as an addition to the Scottie lover’s charm bracelet.
But you don't need to stop here. I have handsome Weimaraner charms and a lot more over at the home page for sterling dog charms.
