Description: I don’t know how this could ever be proved, but some think that the origin of the husky goes back to the time when the land masses of Siberia an Alaska were attached. Now maybe they have had physical evidence of this, or maybe it’s just romantic meandering. But it does give one pause! If you had a husky, you’d have to make sure it got at least one to two hours daily exercise. Just think the workout these dogs get when they’re pulling sleds! A measly 2 hours is probably nothing to them. Maybe little carts could be rigged up for the dogs to pull the grade school kids to school every day. Wouldn’t that be cute! And I bet your booties that the husky would be a lot happier. Here’s something new to me. The name “husky” is a name that is used for any sled dog in the Arctic. But the Siberian husky is the only recognized breed. Although some people think the word comes from the sound of his howl, that may be just one of those myths. More likely the word is an Inuit word. Just pop this sterling silver husky charm on your bracelet and hook up the sled! (Depending on where you live, of course.) You might have other dogs on your charm list.
