Summary:
This perky owl charm sits perching jauntily on his little silver branch. I especially love the feather tufts on each side of his head. Attach your charm by the spring ring (shown) or have your jeweler solder it to the bracelet. Read More...

Description: Owls are mostly nocturnal birds, and have an almost noiseless flight. Owls tend to have soft plumage and they are all birds of prey with the large eyes common to most nocturnal animals. The shape of their bill is in a hook, and the claws are designed to hold onto prey so they are quite sharp. There are so many species of owls, it seems a shame that I’ve seen so few of them. Once in a great while a large big headed bird will fly silently overhead at night and I sense rather than see the owl. But it’s always a thrill.
Since owls are basically very much alike species to species, the identifying characteristics have most to do with how developed their ear structure is. There are two basic types, the first type is made up of nine species of Barn owls and another kind known as the grass owl. I always loved the barn owl face with that big heart shaped disc. The thing I personally enjoy the most about this species is their excessively fluffy chicks!
For quite a while I had a barn owl in my line of bird jewelry, crafted from clay. It’s probably time to make a new version.
This sterling silver owl charm is a nice piece of sterling silver jewelry and one an owl collector would surely enjoy!
Another popular bird is the talkative African grey parrot as a silver charm. See more at silver bird charms, too.
