| I’ve made sterling silver jewelry for a number of years now, and creating a unique design that shines with personality is still one of my greatest joys in life. They have become a big part of The Magic Zoo jewelry collection. I’ve always loved animals, and being a full time artist has given me the opportunity to indulge two of my passions; creating silver animal jewelry and promoting humane care of animals. For several years now I’ve partnered with the ASPCA in creating sterling silver pendants to promote their organization. Sterling silver is a unique precious metal; the look is beautiful and sometimes compared to the shine of the moon. On the other hand, gold jewelry is often compared to the sun’s bright yellow light. I grew up fascinated by the starry night, so it follows that working in .925 silver would have especial appeal for me. The other thing important to me is to create jewelry that others can afford. If my customers can’t buy my silver jewelry then I’ve defeated my own purpose! I love to see my customers wearing a pendant or pair of earrings that they’ve purchased from my jewelry booth in years past. “I never take off this pendant,” is music to my ears. Of course online jewelry shopping doesn’t afford this same bond with my customers, but I do get emails expressing their delight with my jewelry. I always answer them gratefully.
