I make quite a few different post earrings. Every one is unique and has something special “to say”. I really mean it! You just have to check them out for yourself. When I design jewelry it’s more about the communication of the piece than the form, if that makes sense.

 To me, earrings should be fun and have their own personality. Even these post earrings have expression, but you have to look closely to see it! For instance, I think my Boston terrier post earrings look surprised and the fat cat post earrings look suspiciously smug. You might discover hidden emotions in some of my other post earrings if you look at them closely!

Stud earrings are great when you work with children or animals because these earrings don’t get caught or pulled easily. They’re also a good choice for young girls for the same reason. And some women just prefer the smaller size of post earrings.

There have been times during my Magic Zoo career when I’ve forgotten to design new post earrings. Shame on me! It’s probably because I myself tend to wear the dangly style earrings, and I sometimes forget about the gals who really love stud earrings. Now that I have a daughter-in-law who wears little posts, it’ll keep me more on the ball with my post earring designing.
