Description: I had my fat cat pin in pewter, and decided I better create a pewter cat pin of the skinnier sort as well. To be honest, the first one was designed for the sole purpose of being painted. But like the fat cat pin, the design in the plain pewter playful cat (no, don’t try saying that three times really fast) was attractive in its own right. Enter the pewter playful cat pin! It is a graceful design and I think is quite beautiful. The design has not been antiqued, as in the fat cat pin in pewter, because unlike the fat cat, this one doesn’t have a lot of detailing in the fur. It’s easy to see the facial characteristics just the way it is. So I opted to polish this one and leave it in a more natural state. The other thing I like about the playful pewter cats is the fact that the earrings and the pins are in different poses. I like to think it makes the whole set more interesting. So I feel my work is done, at least for the time being. I have the fat cat, I have the skinny cat. Both of them are in pewter, which makes a goodly segment of my “fan” base happy.
