There is a pretty good little selection of pewter bird pins on my site now. I love making bird jewelry, and the medium of pewter is especially fun. It has a silver-like look without the expense, for one thing. And I think it has a nice organic look to it.
Colorful birds somehow still translate well into the pewter color. I guess it’s partly because one species of bird can become many species. In other words, the African Grey could be a conure or an Amazon as well.
