Description: After I started displaying my new veterinary caduceus jewelry for veterinarians awhile back, people started asking me if I had something specifically to be worn as jewelry by veterinary technicians. As I spoke to different folks I discovered there was this whole group of highly trained professionals who are a vital part of what goes on in a veterinary hospital or clinic. I hadn't realized what great care pets were getting these days and how much that care depended on a dedicated team to apply standard procedures to animals for their benefit. I guess veterinary technicians are somewhat akin to the nurses who help physicians in the clinics and hospitals that serve human clients. (I have never asked a vet tech about this comparison so I could be way off, but there must be some parallel at least in the level of training involved.) Anyway, I got to work and designed my version of the symbol that contains "V" of veterinary and the serpent twined on a staff - the caduceus as well as a "T" for technician. It is important that this profession has it's own symbol to wear as they contribute a great deal to the success of health care for animals today.
