Pewter small pet lapel pins and tie tacks are just right, I think. The other day I wore one of the bunny lapel pin/tie tacks and was “accosted” by someone admiring it. I don’t just make this jewelry, I field test it! When they ask me where I got it, it’s fun to say “I made it”. There’s something about wearing lapel pins in pewter that tickles my funny bone, maybe because no one’s expecting to see me wearing it. Of course, the same thing would apply to you, so why not try it! For some reason, I enjoy the round shape of these guys as well. It just seems more appealing. I’ve even seen people wearing pet jewelry and having the honored pet right there in their pocket. When you think about it, small mammals are all around us, and only some of them make it to the status of “pets”. Why is that? How come people don’t keep squirrels as pets? (I know there are a few, but not that many live their lives in cages, which is probably just as well.) What if marmots or woodchucks suddenly became the latest rage. It is possible there is a good reason why they aren’t. Some of these may show up someday in the pewter wild animal section. Yes, a ferret may someday join the ranks of the pewter small pet lapel pins or tie tacks. I’ve certainly had my share of queries about such a possibility, so I will entertain it. |
