(Yes the former first lady). After tripping over my tongue in surprise, I had to confess I had not a single Springer spaniel in my line. Sigh. A short time later I designed this one in pewter.

Somewhere in my file of incomplete projects I have a business card given me by her secret service agent with an address of where I could send her a springer spaniel pin whenever I get one created. She did tell me she has a zillion pieces of springer jewelry (though I’m sure she didn’t use the word “zillion”) I bet she’ll get along fine if I never get around to it. You know how it is when people keep giving you this one type of gift over and over because you happen to have liked it once? Imagine being the President’s wife and having 300 million potential people who could send you one of those!

This head is a bit on the whimsical side- probably more of a pet quality head than a show dog. However, I’m confident I’ll be adding more Springer jewelry to my line in the future.
