Many people like the look of pewter. It does have a lot of character, being more roughly hewn by nature than sterling silver. If you prefer sterling silver, I do make several dobie designs in that as well.

I have read that some of the early ancestors of this breed were quite a handful and it took a courageous person to be their owner; their temperament must have settled down a bit over the years.
