Pewter jewelry has a nice look, I think. It is a bit less refined compared to sterling silver and not as shiny, but it has a lot of character. This piece works equally well being a lapel pin or a distinctive tie tack. These dachshunds are another dog that is very popular in Texas. It was the number 6 most popular with the AKC last year so is probably every where. I just always see a lot of them in Texas. They are great in pairs. A friend of ours here has two that are wonderful  buddies and Ed tells me that his cousin's family always had pairs of them to add to the excitement. It's interesting to me that a breed once adept at going down into fox and badger holes can operate so well in an urban setting. Maybe those ones in the southwest get more chances to scoot down a hole after something.
