Description: Now from what I see from a brief bit of research is that the modern tooth fairy idea really appears early in the 1900's whereas the subject of veterinary dentistry goes back to something like 600 BC when the Chinese supposedly developed some type of equine dentistry based on determining the age of horses (and we suppose the horses health and hence, monetary value.) The Romans carried on the work with horses and at some point dogs and cats started to reap the benefits, too. This seems odd to me because as a child that I certainly knew all about the tooth fairy (the Johnny come lately) and nothing about even the existence of a veterinarian who could have cleaned our dogs teeth and improved that doggie breath! (the ancient science). It’s hard to know about everything that’s going on everywhere. Anyways, as a tribute I thought this design would be a great jewelry piece for a doggy dental hygienist. Or even a human being dentist or hygienist who is also a dog lover or who enjoys bringing a smile to the faces of his patients.
