Description: Not all of my earrings are done mirror image style, but the golden retriever begged to be done in profile, so you will see subtle differences in the two sides. In actuality, the differences really aren’t so subtle. But as far as I can remember there have been two opinions voiced regarding the earrings done in this style. The funny part is that the opinions are opposites. One “camp” tells me that my two sides are just identical, and how did I ever do that? The opposite side tends to consist of a gentle reprimand. Why is each earring different? It’s a little of the damned if you do and damned if you don’t syndrome. Oh well, all I can say is I really do try and do the best work possible, and it seems to mostly work out pretty well. I don’t think a method exists in this universe to make the two sides of a hand made original exactly alike. If you know of such a method, by all means let me know. But I like this pair of pewter golden retriever earrings, and think they might be nice hanging sweetly from either your ears, or the ears of some deserving friend! |
