This is such a versatile design. I have it in painted colors as well as the pewter version. And the pewter fat cat is not only a good choice for a pair of cat earrings if you are on a jewelry budget, but they are really handsome in their own right.

Cat earrings have been “my thing” as a jewelry designer for years and years. I like to think of how many ways and how many different mediums I can represent the feline image in. So far I’m doing pretty well, and expect more of these wonderful animals will appear in different guises on down the line.

The finish on these earrings is what is known as “antique finish”. The details that I etch into the design are captured by darkening the overall design. I think the antiquing in the pewter cat design really points out the detail, and gives it a nice realistic touch.

The shine on the pewter fat cat earrings tends to vary with different pairs of earrings. Some are a bit shinier than others, but all have the warm rich color of fine pewter.
