This particular paw print design works pretty well as either a canine or feline symbol. Adding the heart shape shows the affinity toward animals that vets and vet techs have in their work and in their lives. I consider veterinarians and their staff members to be one of the most caring groups I have ever encountered. The group as a whole holds to high ethical standards and truly cares about the animals under their care. If I were ever really sick, I'd probably prefer to see a veterinarian! Unfortunately, they can't practice medicine on humans as they don't have the right license. Oh, well then I won't get sick.
The paw print heart design also works well if you want to combine it with another animal but it does look great by itself- it communicates a lot.
It doesn't really matter which color you choose for your plate as it works wonderfully on either. Ditto for the choice of backings- either is fine, though I am partial to magnets.
This pet paw heart name tag would make an attractive and meaningful gift for someone who works around animals and there are more and more dedicated people joining that profession each year.
