I guess I don’t usually think of a cat as having much to do with a parrot or an iguana. But having the knowledge  that strange things do occur in the animal world of pets, I wouldn’t be shocked either if this trio became good friends. If a bird can consider us flock mates, an iguana can learn to take food from someone’s hand and a cat can consider us a full time slave, why not the three of them becoming chums? I like that idea.

I realize that iguanas can get pretty darned big, but I’m savvy enough to know that they’re vegetarians and the cat wouldn’t have much to fear, unless she got a little too cheeky and the iguana snapped at her. But other than that… Do people let their iguanas have free reign in their homes, anyway? It seems unlikely. How do you housebreak an iguana? A 2 year old granddaughter is hard enough.
