I once made a group of name tags for him each with a different iguana on it that went to other members of the staff where he works. There are so many unique iguanas around the world and each one would be a great subject for a stellar piece of iguana jewelry.

I’m not sure how many veterinarians there are out there taking care of the health of exotics like lizards, snakes and turtles but there must be a growing number as more and more people discover what interesting pets they make. As an animal jewelry artist I am attracted to the wide range of colors, patterns and markings in these animals. Even a little garter snake when looked over carefully has the most beautiful stripes and shades of color. I know reptiles take a bit of getting used to but you can always start by examining little, harmless ones and working your way up.
