I like to think that fans of this breed would enjoy wearing a name tag with their favorite dog to accompany them to work. Dobermans are handsome animals and a great subject for dog jewelry.

You can choose between the gold tone (brass) or silver tone (stainless steel) name badge plate for your pewter Doberman to “sit “on. I think it looks great on either the silver or the gold color, so it’s really just a matter of personal preference.

The other choice you have is whether to use a back with a magnet or a back with a pin   back. I want to encourage you to try the magnetic backing if you’re unfamiliar with it. If you have used it already on another name tag, you already know how superior they are to the traditional pin. Much higher quality, very strong and no holes in your clothes!

The Doberman Pinscher as we call it in America is apparently named after a gentleman from the late 1800’s named Louis Dobermann who was a tax collector in Europe and a dog-breeder as well. The idea we suppose was to develop a dog that would be a helpful presence when he was making his tax collecting rounds. Hopefully the IRS is not aware of this story- enough is enough without pressing these dogs into such service. I prefer them in their roles as great family dogs.
