I’ve said it before, but of all the breeds in the world, the golden seems like the one you’d most associate with making friends with a little cat. Have I ever seen a golden retriever and a cat being friends? I don’t know if I have or not! Perhaps I have and I just have no exact memory of it. You know how things can just be right at the tip of your awareness, but just annoyingly out of reach? That’s kind of how I feel about my memory of a golden retriever and a cat. Now I’ve certainly seen photos of them together, so that’s a start!

When I was a kid we had a tabby cat and a dalmation, and I do believe they got along pretty well. However the dalmation was a little aggressive with my two brothers and we had to find him another home.
