Description: I just wanted to point out that you don’t have to actually own this group of animals to wear this particular badge. The intention is more to give your clients the feeling they are in a veterinary hospital that will treat any animal species that walks, crawls or flies in the door. I think they should get the drift, if you know what I mean. For a long time I had a hard time with the concept of people keeping birds in cages. But since there are a lot of them threatened now in their very survival in their home countries, I find the idea a lot easier to live with. It’s a difficult concept to face, but without the caged exotic birds it’s possible we would someday be missing many of the most interesting animals on the planet. I don’t think that dogs and cats as a general rule are particularly threatened, but probably the opposite is true. If only everyone would agree to spay or neuter their pets. I think it’s wonderful when volunteers bring in feral cats to be spayed. Way too many kittens in the world, wouldn’t you say?
