Description: I also believe that these earrings would be a good choice for a young girl with newly pierced ears. They are quite small.  It seems like koala bears would be soft and cuddly, but I think they have some pretty fearsome claws and wouldn’t be adverse to using them if they felt threatened. Despite that, I think I’ve heard of people holding them in their arms. Maybe if they knew you really, really well and didn’t feel at all threatened they’d put up with it. I wouldn’t count on it though. Officially koalas are in their own family, at least according to one of my reference books. It seems like people differ on this, but for now it looks pretty official that they are in a family called phascolarctidae. I wouldn’t really bother saying that 10times fast. Almost all marsupials have pouches, some open in the top and some in the rear. I guess it’s just whatever suits the life style of a particular family. (I’m using that term “family” to mean type, not mom, dad, and the kids..) What young girl or older girl for that matter isn’t at least a little in love with the marsupial sometimes known as a koala bear? I would think these gold koala post earrings would see quite a bit of use.
