Many women prefer small earrings. I also think that a young horsewoman who recently had her ears pierced would love to own a pair of gold horse stud earrings. For a young girl, the little horseshoe earrings in 14k gold might be a great choice. The other good thing about the post style earrings for someone not yet a teenager is that stud earrings practically eliminate the worrisome possibility of a dangling earring getting caught in something while exercising or playing.(especially for an active child.)
I think it’s wonderful that young girls enjoy riding. What a wonderful opportunity to discover the joys of the outdoors coupled with the responsibility of taking care of a large animal. A horse is gentle as well as large. This combination of qualities is a good concept for a child to take in and understand. That size and power do not necessarily equal cruelty or greed. There is a beautiful give and take between a young child and any animal they are looking after.
