Description:
Yes, this little mouse is a field mouse and never ever would he invade your pantry, I promise.
I think this gold pin is the ideal size to put on a blouse. Call him your “Christmas mouse” and wear him for the holidays, maybe even with the matching earrings to make an entire gold mouse set.
House mice have a little hierarchy thing going on. There is one strong male who is the leader of the group. He may at any time be challenged by another male mouse and lose his position after a ferocious (well, for a mouse anyway) fight. When things get too crowded in the old homestead, the younger mice are tossed out on their little mouse ears to set up housekeeping somewhere else. I wonder if they ever move back into their old rooms if they just can’t make it on the outside?
The mousewives have several litters every year. No wonder they stay and in the larder their whole lives. Her litter can consist of 12 babies. When they get a little older (about 3 weeks) they follow mom outside the nest to explore the big wide world.
Perhaps it isn’t the easiest thing in the world to find one that is cute but not what you’d call cutesy. Well, in my humble opinion as the artist, I believe this mouse pin would fit that description very well.
