Description:
I am fascinated with reptiles, and would probably have some of my own if I only had the time to care for them! Being able to design them as gold jewelry is a good substitution for pet ownership, because I can read about them and their habits as I work.
Trying to catch one of these lizards by hand is a real trial. They are extremely wary and quite fast, especially if the temperature is hot. They especially like it between 86 and 104 degrees F. But they do store heat due to their basking in the sun, so they can move around and function even when the temperature is lower. Other lizards tend to be completely inactive when it gets too cold. Here in Florida I’ve noticed that I can sometimes pick up our native anole lizards when it’s a cool outside. I guess the poor little things somehow didn’t make it back to their little reptile housing when the weather suddenly changed.
The bearded dragon usually basks on a tree stump or a termite mound. Then they flatten themselves out and sunbathe for several hours.
This 14k gold bearded dragon pin is pretty enough to wear for a special occasion, and could be even further enhanced with the addition of the gold earrings to match.
