About Our Wildlife Jewelry |
If I could create a gold wildlife pin pendant of every endangered animal on the planet I would be more than satisfied. I’m happy with the start, my gold elephant and gold rhinoceros pin pendants.
The term “wildlife” certainly covers a big spectrum of the fauna on our planet. I suppose most all animals are either wildlife or at least are a domesticated version of a wild ancestor. I suppose you could reduce that thought further down to where a one celled animal is actually a form of wildlife. They certainly have an ethereal beauty, even though it has to be viewed through a microscope.
Life itself is beauty, and I feel so lucky to be able to make my living by observing the aesthetics of life and recreating it as I see it in the precious metals of gold and sterling silver. I realize how lucky I am and know it’s an especially good thing because with my mathematical ability I would have made a lousy accountant. In fact, of all the job skills I was able to muster up before going to work full time as an artist the best I could do was work as a cook! I still like to cook, as a matter of fact, but wouldn’t want to do it as a full time occupation..
The gold wildlife pin pendants are a good size but are not heavy to wear, and I do believe my 14k gold rope chains are of sufficient strength to hold them securely when they’re worn as a pendant. |
