Description: I would think carefully before ordering it as a gift because it is not something that every poodle aficionado will appreciate. I like to be honest about my work, and sometimes something that gave me a lot of enjoyment designing isn’t what all my customers are interested in. This design sort of falls in that middle “questionable” place. Since it is rather costly in the gold, I would prefer that you make sure the recipient of the gift has a chance to evaluate the design before it is cast. Some women love it and some- not so much. I now have a second choice, a puppy cut poodle in a gold pin pendant, so a design comparison is in order. One of the things that many enjoy about the poodle (the real thing, not the dog jewelry) is the fact that it is a quick study and can learn tricks in short order. I keep coming across information that refers to them as being circus dogs. I’ve never seen a poodle in the circus, but when I was a kid it’s possible I saw poodles performing on the Ed Sullivan show. That was a weekly treat, that was. It’s where I first saw the Beatles. What a thrill for a 13 year old girl! Of course I do hope you and your friend or sweetheart or mother or whoever it is does like my gold poodle pin pendant, but I think it’s good to err on the side of caution with a piece of this price.
